What is meant by slippage in pumps
LikeLiked by 1 person
Whenever a pump is putting out less than it’s maximum displacement, it is said to be slipping. Slippage refers to the liquid that does not make it to pump’s outlet. At very high pressures, some slippage will occur as fluid finds a passage in fine clearances between pump parts back to inlet side of pump. This reduces overall performance of the pump.
